The House of Chai is a space of sanctuary from the relentless pace of modern life. You’re invited to slow down and be present with yourself and the community in this pop up tearoom. Reimagining what a tearoom can be. At its heart, it's a sanctuary where rest, joy and connection are cultivated through tea, creativity, ancestral practices and community. You’re invited to imagine rest as a collective practice. We’ll be honouring the darker days as British Summer Time officially ends on Sunday 25 October; a perfect time for slowing down and embracing the colder months.
Over three hours you can expect:
An opening where we take time together with intentional and slow sipping of specialist herbal teas. This will be time to connect with one another by setting an opening intention for the space.
We will sink into the space with a sound bath to ease your mind and body.
For the rest of the time you’re welcome to just be. You can choose to bring a book you’ve been meaning to read or a craft you’ve started. There will also be the option to join in a cultural game or create some new artwork if you wish to.
Light snacks and tea will be provided throughout.
This will be an intimate event to allow us to connect and create a sanctuary.
